QuailMasters Registration is Now Open
QuailMasters is a series of workshops that will help students “understand the quail equation” and hone their knowledge of all things related to quail management in Texas. The workshop series is designed for serious students of quail management.
QuailMasters was started in 2005 by Dr. Dale Rollins, the program targets landowners interested in quail management, quail hunters, agency biologists, wildlife consultants, Master Naturalists and college students seeking up-to-date quail information. Great opportunity to make professional contacts and meet like-minded landowners, researchers, hunters, students from across the State.
These workshops offer a mix of hands-on-exercises, lectures and field trips. Students also build plant and seed collections for their own properties and learn how to evaluate management practices. Students will travel to some of the top quail ranches in Texas to experience firsthand how good management can enhance quail numbers.
Participants must attend at least three of the four workshops to graduate as a “QuailMaster.” Sessions start on Sunday afternoons at 1PM and conclude on Tuesday at 12PM.
